This site is about Miranda the Mallard from Moose Jaw, a children's book by Marlene Muir-Chase which was published in 2009.
Moose Jaw is the name of a small city in the province of Saskatchewan on the prairies of Canada.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO if a duck suddenly flew into your yard,
quacking loudly, seeming to claim this space as her own?
You would likely feed her some bread, claim her as your duck, and
give her a name. Marlene and Bill did just that. This led to many
new adventures with Miranda the Mallard from Moose Jaw.
We always wonder why she chose our yard to nest in for almost ten
years. How did she find her way back to our yard every spring? Did
she know she could depend on us for safety?
We love that duck!

Marlene is proud to call Moose Jaw home. Whether it's
teaching ceramics, painting a landscape, travelling or writing
a story, Marlene has great enthusiasm for her projects.
Family gatherings and friends are most important in her
life, along with her motto, “Learn something new every day.”
